The House of Joseph Drouhin has been a pioneer in the Chablis region for more than 40 years, expanding their holdings to 38 ha of vineyards, which include parcels of 4 Grand Crus (Vaudésir, Les Clos, Les Preuses and Bougros) and 7 Premier Crus.

In 2009, the Drouhin family demonstrated their commitment to the terroir by producing their Chablis wines under the separate label of Drouhin Vaudon, incorporating the name of the Moulin de Vaudon, an 18th century water mill on the River Serein, which forms their headquarters in this region.

The “Drouhin style” marries balance, harmony, finesse and character. Absolute priority is given to the genuine expression of the terroir and the vintage. The wines are recognizable for their great purity of taste. Young, they possess fruit, minerality and enticing aromas; with age, wines from great appellations acquire a sumptuous complexity. All Drouhin’s Chablis vineyards are cultivated according to biodynamic principles and absolute priority is given to the genuine expression of the terroir and vintage during vinification.

Chablis “Réserve de Vaudon” 2013

Varietal: 100% Chardonnay
Alcohol: 12.5%
Oak-ageing: Unoaked

Tasting Note:

An elegant wine. Brilliant colour, with hints of green. Typical Chablis nose, where aromas of citrus (lemon) fern and even salty sensations predominate. On the palate: vigorous and lively, but in a soft mode. A lot of finesse and balance

DROUHIN CHABLIS 1ER CRU “VAILLONS” 2011

Chablis 1er Cru “Vaillons” 2012

Varietal: 100% Chardonnay
Alcohol: 12.5%
Oak-ag eing: Unoaked
Closure: Natural Cork

Tasting Note:

A dry and brisk wine, typical of Chablis. Brilliant yellow-green colour with green reflections. On the nose mineral and complex aromas are reminiscent of lemon and white flower, together with vegetal hints such as asparagus or artichoke and marine notes. On the palate, the first impression is clear-cut and sharp. Long on the aftertaste, with fruity as well as mineral flavours; becomes slightly honey-scented when the wine is more evolved.

DROUHIN CHABLIS GRAND CRU “VAUDÉSIR” 2010

Chablis Grand Cru “Vaudésir” 2010

Varietal: 100% Chardonnay
Alcohol: 13%
Oak-ageing: 12 months in barrels
Closure: Natural Cork

Tasting Note:

An exquisite wine often drunk on its own as an aperitif. Pure and limpid colour, with a faint greenish hint. On the nose, fresh aromas of flower and fruit (lemony flavours) and, at times, spicy notes of coriander. On the palate: harmonious aromas bringing character and elegance. The magnitude of its Grand Cru origin and the light salty notes from the Kimmeridgian soil are in evidence. Remarkably long and complex persistence in the aftertaste.
