Champagne Pol Roger enjoyed a fantastic three days at The Festival of British Eventing at Gatcombe Park. 2016 marked the first year with Pol Roger as the Official Champagne of The Festival, and we were rewarded with three days of beautiful weather in which to enjoy the action-packed horse trials in the magnificent setting of Gatcombe Park.
The Pol Roger Lodge, designed to recreate the warmth and bonhomie of a ski lodge, offered the perfect viewing platform, overlooking the main arena, as well as the perfect refuge in which to escape the heat and enjoy a refreshing glass of Pol Roger Brut Reserve.
From the vantage point of the Lodge, guests could watch all the action, from the CIC3* Show Jumping to the Shetland Pony Grand National, as well as enjoying live footage from the Cross Country Course, which was streamed live on television screens. The Champagne Pol Roger jump, dressed with Pol Roger bottles and cases, proved to be a highlight of the Cross Country course.
We were delighted to be joined by Pol Roger Ambassadors and Three Day Event Riders Harry Meade and Laura Collett, as well six times Badminton Horse Trial’s winner Lucinda Green MBE, who lead a small group of competition winners on a cross country walk around Captain Mark Phillips’ famously undulating course.
We are already looking forward to returning to Gatcombe Park in 2017.
