We are delighted to be able to announce the worthy winners of the Countryside Alliance Tumblers Club competition. The competition invited photographs (open to amateurs only) of the most humorous tumble caught on camera this season, to celebrate the brave souls that go hunting and the trusty steeds that carry them.  The huge number of entries were vigorously studied, judged by a panel including The Fields’ Ali Henton and three-day eventer and Pol Roger Ambassador Harry Meade, plus representatives from  the Countryside Alliance and Pol Roger. It proved a tough decision and a very closely fought competition. Please be assured that all horses and riders featured tumbling were unharmed!

Congratulations to the winning photographer Ella Meadows and tumbler in question Sam Matthews, who will each receive a tankard and a magnum of Pol Roger Brut Reserve. Ella took this photo captioned “I would bend over backwards to continue hunting” on 14th December 2014 at a joint meet between the Weston and Banwell and the Taunton Vale Harriers. Ella commented ‘The day before I took this photo I wasn’t very well in hospital, so against doctors orders I went hunting along with my camera to cheer myself up so for me to have won this competition is quite simply amazing!’
