The new week started with a winner. Leigh’s Law made all the running under James Doyle to win by ½ length at Yarmouth. Placings followed for Artois and On The Line and a strong finishing second for Power to Exceed at Pontefract.
After 4ths for Thuderbolt Rocks and Mystic Meg on Monday, Collide made the long trip to Hamilton worthwhile with a facile victory by nine lengths, no less, under Ben Curtis. This confirmed the promise of his debut run at Pontefract and he was eased down inside the final furlong.
A quiet week leaving the totals for the year at: 48 winners and 68 placed. There are a host of interesting entries over the weekend, particularly at the York Ebor Festival, with Caliburn, Silver Quartz, Corrosive and Arbalet all set to take part.
