We are delighted to have teamed up with the Countryside Alliance for the third consecutive year to support their national Hunt Tumblers’ Club competition. The competition opens on 1st November and invites photos of tumbles taken during the 2016/17 hunting season. The competition aims to celebrate the daring and elasticity of those who hunt while capturing tumblers’ moments of misfortune forever.

Please send photos to including your name and address. If the photo is not of you, please do make sure that you have permission to send it to us from the ‘tumbler’ in question and also the photographer. Please remember to send us your photos in as large a size as possible so that they will reproduce for publicity purposes (ideally 1MB minimum.)

The competition will close on 1st March 2017. The best three photos will be chosen by a judging panel featuring representatives from Champagne Pol Roger, the Countryside Alliance and The Field, alongside three-day eventer Harry Meade. A winning tumbler and photographer will be awarded a magnum of Pol Roger Brut Reserve while second and third placed tumblers and photographers will each receive a bottle of Pol Roger Brut Reserve. These three top placed photos will also feature in the summer 2017 edition of the Countryside Alliance magazine and on the Pol Roger website. In addition, a ‘top tumbler’ will then be chosen from the final three photos with both the tumbler and photographer receiving a special glass tankard from Pol Roger.

The Countryside Alliance and Champagne Pol Roger will not be responsible for any injury, loss or damage of any kind suffered by any person or horse featured in our competition. Both parties support best practice and therefore will not accept any photos that place the horse or rider at undue risk of serious injury, or any riders who are not taking the necessary safety precautions whilst out hunting. Please DO NOT send us your photo if serious injury has occurred as a result of the fall. This competition is run in the purest spirit of fun and enjoyment. Please note that copyright of entries passes to the Countryside Alliance.

We look forward to seeing your photos. Happy hunting and #softlandings.
