For the 5th consecutive year Hine is proud to sponsor a Painting Prize at the Royal College of Art Graduate Exhibition, arguably the most influential university of art and design.
Previous winners include David Viscardi, Mathis Gasser, Lian Zhang and Roy Immanuel, all of whom have gone on to launch extremely exciting careers in the arts. This year, the work was as distinguished and thought-provoking as we have come to expect, the outcome of a two year programme and a lot of hard work.
This year we were delighted to be joined by Edouard Guerrand, Owner of Hine Vintage Cognacs, and Per Even Allaire, Hine Cognac’s brand ambassador and sales manager, for the selection process. Edouard Guerrand is an avid follower and collector of the arts and therefore relished the opportunity to visit the exhibition and consider which work deserved the title of the Hine Painting Prize 2015.
We are delighted to announce that the winner of the 2015 prize is Ragna Bley and her work, ‘The numbers in turn lead back to us’, executed in acrylic on canvas, which is soon to become a wonderful addition to Hine’s art collection.
