Final leg of the Glenfarclas race series

On Tuesday the final leg of the 5 race series of Cross Country Steeplechases sponsored by Glenfarclas was run at Cheltenham. The finish was dominated by horses owned by J.P.McManus and trained by Enda Bolger with Garde Champetre holding on in a tight finish from L'Ami and Drombeag- all three from the same stable, a unique achievement. The winner was ridden by Nina Carberry. Sadly no-one qualified for the bonus put up by Glenfarclas for running in one of the races in each of the three countries involved, England, ireland and France.
