November 3rd 2009 was a very successful night for the Harvard Business School Alumni blind tasting team as they were victorious twice in the Pol Roger Alumni Tasting competition held at the IPC headquarters in London’s Southwark.
Jancis Robinson OBE MW hosted the evening with James Simpson MW from Pol Roger, with 15 teams from INSEAD, Harvard, Wharton, London Business School taking part in the event which has been held by Champagne Pol Roger in London for 9 years. The winning team made up of five vinously astute members of the Harvard Business School, won both the overall competition and the “fun” quiz placed as light relief mid-way through the competition.
Proceeds from the evening went to Room to Read a charity set up to educate children in India and Nepal and to help bring them out of poverty.
