A perfect start to the week with Blonde Warrior making all the running to smoothly land short odds at Doncaster under James Doyle.

Then followed a run of horses hitting the frame without quite getting their heads in front. NathlessMorning BeautySummersea MistDelsheer, Photonics and Roystonia all made the first four through the middle of the week.

Thursday saw Hot Team make a highly promising debut at Haydock, finishing second, running on well having been green to half-way in what looked a fair novice.

Ben Curtis galvanised Exprompt to finally get off the mark at his seventh attempt, also at Haydock. Dropped back to seven furlongs, the colt had to be switched wide and come round the whole field before running on well to win with a bit in hand.

So the week ended as it had begun – with a winner. Although there was a period of frustration with multiple places between these winners, there were very few unplaced runners from the stable.
