An even quieter week this week with extremely few runners, though the stable managed to add another winner when Cool Team won under James Doyle for owner Lit Lung Lee at Kempton.

Meanwhile on the other side of the world the most significant runner of the week was Wall of Fire having his prep run for the world famous Melbourne Cup. Under jockey Mark Zahra he put up a magnificent show, giving weight away all round he finished second, beaten just a length, in Caulfield’s Ladbrokes Herbert Power Handicap – a great trial for the big one on 7th November.

There are a few entered over the weekend most notably three for the hugely valuable Balmoral Handicap at Ascot- a £250,000 race! Qassem is the only one guaranteed to get in with 44 entered, and the other two, Colibri and Mazyoun, need a lot to come out in order to get a run. Action starts today with Alba Power entered in a Listed race at Deauville.
