Following the last report the weekend brought another two winners with both Corrosive under Josephine Gordon at Ascot and Gododdin for Louis Steward at Nottingham holding on for narrow victories. Unforgetable Filly was a non-runner after heavy rain at Lingfield.

At Salisbury on Wednesday Hypothetically caught the eye despite finishing nearer last than first. She completely blew the start but made smooth progress, whilst still showing plenty of greenness, to reach a challenging position before fading. Clearly she had used plenty of energy to make up the ground lost at the start and the race contained plenty of smart pedigrees. Perhaps one for the note-book.

In the Group 2 Dante at York White Mocha who had looked certain to appreciate a step up in distance when second at Newmarket, ran as though in fact he did not get the extra distance, challenging 2 furlongs out and then fading.

Apart from this it has been a quiet week for runners but there are a few entries for the weekend.
