Founder Tor Kenward spent four decades distilling what makes a wine extraordinary.

From the advice of knowledgeable mentors in Robert Mondavi, André Tchelistcheff and Warren Winiarski, to name but a few, travelling to Europe’s most renowned vineyards and talking and tasting with other winemakers, Tor refined his craft.

Finally, once he when he had honed his craft, he founded TOR Wines.  The plan was simple; the wines would come from only the best blocks in the best vineyard sites that he knew and revered.

TOR Wines focus on single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay wines and Bordeaux varietals. Each wine is handmade and bottled in very small quantities.

Their secret?  To stay out of the way, not to manipulate—to preserve a place in time and capture it in a bottle.

The TOR wine making team has been together since the beginning. Jeff Ames is the head winemaker and the team adhere to the same, simple rule— ‘the vineyard is what we showcase, not a heavy winemaker’s hand’.

Each wine is nurtured from vine to bottle, unfiltered and unfined.
